The Need

In the automotive industry, C-level executives are required to make high-impact decisions based on vast amounts of operational, production, and performance data. Much of this data resides within Oracle ERP platforms, yet it is often distributed across multiple modules, reports, and dashboards, making it difficult to obtain a unified, real-time view of plant operations.

 

The core challenge is not data availability, but transforming complex ERP data into a holistic and intuitive executive view. Traditional 2D dashboards limit spatial understanding of production flows, system dependencies, and operational bottlenecks, forcing executives to rely on fragmented insights and delayed reporting.

 

There is a critical need for an immersive, executive-level experience that consolidates Oracle ERP data into a single, coherent operational panorama. By leveraging virtual reality as a strategic interface, C-level leaders can visualize the automotive plant as an integrated system, monitor processes end to end, and instantly correlate ERP signals such as production status, inventory, quality, and exceptions.

 

In this scenario, virtual reality acts as a new decision layer on top of Oracle ERP, enabling executives to step inside their data, gain real-time situational awareness, and make faster, more confident decisions across the entire manufacturing operation.

My Role and Key Results

My responsibilities:

Led stakeholder and executive validations to frame real-world automotive manufacturing decision scenarios and executive needs.

Defined the product strategy and experiential vision for a VR-based executive decision layer on top of Oracle ERP.

Designed the end-to-end UX, UI, and interaction model to transform complex ERP data into immersive, real-time insights.

Validated Oracle Cloud and ERP integrations with architecture teams, ensuring scalability, performance, and data reliability.

Managed the initiative end to end, from concept and prototyping to executive demos and innovation center deployment.

Results Achieved:

• Delivered the world’s first VR-based back-office experience, redefining how executives interact with enterprise and manufacturing data.

• Established a new decision layer on top of Oracle ERP, enabling immersive, real-time visualization of production, inventory, quality, and operational exceptions.

• Created a global benchmark for innovation at Oracle, positioning virtual reality as a strategic interface for executive decision-making.

• Enabled strategic sales pipeline generation, using the solution as a high-impact demonstration for automotive and industrial clients.

• Featured as a flagship success story at the Oracle Innovation Center, reinforcing Oracle’s leadership in immersive enterprise experiences.
